Teaching & Consulting

With masters’ degrees in both English and creative nonfiction writing, Rachel has taught courses in composition, critical thinking, creative writing, and hip hop studies at the University of Southern California, California State University Los Angeles, and Los Angeles City College (LACC). Currently she serves as adjunct faculty at LACC and as a consultant in the Writing Center.

Rachel has also worked with young writers at the Cal State LA Writing Project’s Young Writers Camp, the summer program at Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences, and Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Talented Youth.

A National Writing Project Fellow, she teaches an intensive summer creative writing workshop for educators through the Los Angeles Writing Project at Cal State LA.
