Taunee English is a whiz with numbers. She held a top-secret security clearance in the U.S. Navy as a cryptologic technician (aka Morse coder) and then worked in accounting and business management for a number of years before beginning her real estate career in 2008. Today, the award-winning Beverly Hills broker specializes in probate and trust real estate and uses her number-crunching acumen to help individuals and families create and protect their financial security with real estate. The sign behind her desk reads: “I’m a black woman business owner. I believe anything is possible. I see opportunities where others see impossibility.”
We caught up with English to learn more about her analytical approach to the business—and about how fighting racism in the real estate industry requires power in numbers.
